Experience Summary
Because of my passion for teaching and being the best teacher possible, I have earned a BS in Physical Education, a MS in Educational Leadership, and an MS in Specific Learning Disabilities. I have taught in the Bay County School District for the past 28 years, with the last 19 years being in Specific Learning Disabilities. I have taught English IV, American Gov., Economics, Readng, Personal Fitness, Learnng Strategies and all subjects in the functional curriculum to students with varying exceptionalities. I have also provided homebound services to students that can't attend school due to an illness.
Teaching Style
As a teacher, I strive to create a positive classroom environment that fosters learning. My students are comfortable as they walk in my door because of the rapport I have established with them. They are so comfortable around me, that they can talk to me about almost anything. In my classes, I engage my students in open discussions and provide them with information that will allow them to think critically and make sound decisions. I also incorporate laughter in my classroom. We laugh while we learn. Overall, it is my main focus is to ensure that my students obtain an education that will lead them to being productive and successful citizens that they deserve.
