I have spent the better part of the past 12 years teaching grammar, creative writing, literature, and basic English structure. I have my BFA in Creative Writing and my BA in English from Arkansas Tech University, and I have my MA in English from Highlands University. The one that sticks out in mind is Jumpstart.Jumpstart is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that every child in America enters school prepared to succeed.Jumpstart’s research-based curriculum is focused on building language, literacy, social and emotional skills in preschool children, while providing our volunteers with a rewarding way to have lasting impact in their communities.
My teaching style would be more of a demonstrator or personal model. I am more interested in encouraging student participation and adapting their presentation to include various learning styles. Students are expected to take some responsibility for learning what they need to know and for asking for help when they don't understand something.

In addition, I have also taught English as A Second Language at Mississippi State University and Greater Columbus Learning Center. I taught grammar, reading, phonics, vocabulary, and conversational English. I also worked at RTP for a year as a GED tutor. I tutored math, social studies, and language arts.
