My comments on tutoring ADD/ADHD : Play attention provider.Play attention is a biofeedback, computer-based program for children with attention problems. It is designed to improve attention and teach skills necessary to engage and attend. There is built in fun to compare and try to beat previous game scores. Each session consist of 5 biofeedback successive games that are engaging, minimum of 2-3 times per week for one hour each day, which includes behavior interventions and coaching. In each game the child gets to see how his/her attention (or distracting behaviors) affect the characters on the screen and thus scores. As they see their progress they learn to recognize the relationship between distracting behaviors and their ability to focus. It takes an average of 40-60 hours to complete the program.  My success with the program has shown changes begin in just four weeks training . Also, Incredible long-term results like finishing homework on-time, ignoring distractions, less day dreaming, better grades, and better behavior are some of the long term payoff.

Organized, creative and flexible in the design and implementation of intensive, explicit and comprehensive direct instruction. Skilled in assessing strengths and needs to develop an individualized structure and schedule in the natural environment in a systematic and sequential way. Dedicated to building lasting skills acquisition by scaffolding adaptive sensory-motor responses. Excelent behavioral management techniques in anticipating behaviors and addressing coping skills, problem solving and communicative functions. Seasoned and assertive teacher devoted to excellence, who takes pride in my passion for helping children reach their hidden potentials and improve quality of life.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am very patient with students. I am not quick to tell them how to do a problem or what the answer is because the student will never learn how to do it on their own. I allow the student to work through the problem, offering my assistance along the way.
I started tutoring high school students; helping them with anything from test prep to organizational and study skills. I then started tutoring younger children helping them complete their homework, understand their material, and how to study for tests. I have over seven years experience tutoring students and getting results. I love children and helping them succeed in school is my passion.
