My style of teaching is relatively comparisons and having the student recognize the use of information as it is used daily. Thus, middle school math is my choice and computer science to instruct. I use tape measures, yard sticks, beakers, pie charts money, and all visuals such as: dam’s bridges, and buildings for measurements. My experience working, as a project manager in construction has been a nontraditional rewarding career. I graduated from Marshall University in the field of Safety Technology. The knowledge acquired from my degree greatly enhanced my ability to perform jobs in the industry without losses due to injuries, at rate comparibly to industry standards. My experiance with children and teaching has been at the substitute level for a combined years of four, primarily middle school.

I have taught middle school and high school and with over twenty years experience as a tutor.I have earned two bachelor degrees, Mathematics and BS in Civil Engineering, which has enabled me to gain an understanding in many areas of math and science. While I attended Auburn University and studied civil engineering I found myself enjoying group projects and helping other students get through the difficult curriculum. I needed some extra money my junior year of school and since I was enjoying working with other students I decided to try tutoring freshman and sophomore students in math and physics. I enjoyed it and it was rewarding when the students grasped the lesson at hand and did well on their upcoming tests. I cannot say that I am set in any teaching style.
