A Little Bit About Me...

I love math. I find it fun, challenging, and very interesting. When I tutor students, I try to portray my excitement for the subject so they see that it is not intimidating and so they are more willing to work to solve a problem. My hight school math teacher encouraged me by her passion and I have taken that into how I tutor and help others.
As a mathematics major, I worked in the math lab all four years of my college experience. I would tutor others with their math and help students study for exams. I have also tutored in junior high settings and this past summer I tutored a young girl in 7th grade math. I have also tutored while in high school.

Young people learn through different ways and means. I try to discern the best method to instruct any particular student with whom I am tutoring at the time. I like to give examples of problems, and "problem solve" with the student through illustrative examples on paper or on the board.
