I have always enjoyed working with children, especially in a school setting. I am very good at working one-on-one with people and tailoring my communication and teaching style to best fit the student or listener. I am very keen at ascertaining the needs and personalities of many different people and I am very patient and adept at listening. I enjoy seeing a child's eyes light up once he or she has grasped a difficult concept or conquered a tough subject. I enjoy working with all children. During the past twenty years, I had the opportunity to work with very diverse students from kindergarten to 6th grade. Over the course of my career, I have taught at just about every level, from middle school to graduate school. I initially started teaching computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. My area of study is really in history and social studies where I worked with students on improving their composition and essay writing skills as well as organization and study skills for adolescents and adults.
