A Little Bit About Me...

My years teaching were thus far the most rewarding times of my life. To see a child's face light up when he/she has that moment of "I get it!", is a priceless feeling for me. My teaching style is uncomplicated and simple,so the student can keep up easily.Since language is best learned through repetition, I make sure I go over the material several times and proceed only when the student has a clear grasp of the material.
As a previous Tupelo Public School Spanish teacher, I have six years experience teaching grades four through six.In addition, I received my BS in Social Work from the University of Mississippi where I graduated with honors.My courses have given me extensive preparation in many areas, such as writing and grammatical skills. A Little Bit About Me...

I have taught as an English Instructor at East Mississippi Community College and Mary Holmes College. I taught several courses. Developmental I and II were very basic grammar and writing courses. Composition I and II were courses that introduced students to writing essays and the research paper. In addition, I have also taught English as A Second Language at Mississippi State University and Greater Columbus Learning Center. I taught grammar, reading, phonics, vocabulary, and conversational English. I also worked at RTP for a year as a GED tutor. I tutored math, social studies, and language arts. I also worked with students who were studying for the ACT.
