My comments on tutoring Special Education : I have a vast amount of experience in teaching special education students in grades k-12.

Interactive modeling of examples, repetition, and simplifying subject matter are key components of my teaching style. Many students have difficulty relating to academic material due the lack being given time to practice example assignments. I also teach universal strategies of how to study material to fully understand assignments.
I have worked as a Special Education Instructional Assistant for the past 8 years. I am currently attending school to become a special education teacher. I graduated from CSUS and received my BA in Psychology in 2007. I worked as a tutor in a Title-I elementary school working with children at or below reading level and also those who were ESL.
