I have earned a Bachelors Degree in Anthropology. I also have a strong background with computers. While attending ASU, I enjoyed every aspect of learning. Throughout college I worked with children in a daycare and as a preschool teacher. Elementary school subjects are my best tutor subjects, such as math, science and spanish. I have worked with children whom have disabilities for the past three years and view that as my strong point. For these children to learn everything from speaking, counting, reading and continuing into age appropriate subjects is an amazing deed that I am blessed to be a part of and in a child’s life. I graduated from high school with honors from a school that never pushed the effectiveness of attending college to students. I maintained my focus and attended Virginia State University in the fall of 2006. My mother was my inspiration, so much that I ventured towards science as my field of study. I chose to be a chemist, allowing myself to go above and beyond the norm. I succeeded as I came upon the completion of my undergraduate studies and obtaining a BS in Chemistry. While finishing up my final semester, I was offered a tutoring position that would allow me to connect with underclassmen as well as my peers, not only with class work but aiding as a mentor to students as well. My teaching style is so passionate, I love opening doors to where students actually grasps the idea of learning and the effectiveness of it. Children's church is where a year of my experience comes from. I would guide a group of children during the service and would spend individual time with those who wanted to brush up on their reading and writing. I enjoyed every minute of this experience and can say I made an impact in those children's lives. I love working with children of all ages. I can say I am patient enough to deal with elementary students being that I've done so before. I love to have fun with learning and can bring the fun of learning to the classroom. I want the students to want to learn and that is what I am going to bring to the table.
