I have completed each of the classes listed as expert with an 'A' at Itawamba Community College. I currently tutor at the ICC Success Center and ICC Writing Center for English. I am also in my last semester before acquiring an Associate's and continuing to the University of Mississippi to pursue a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering. I have a very methodical teaching style. I will typically teach sections by working a problem as I explain it to the student then deriving a step-by-step process for the student to apply.

For math problems, I usually work problems and explain each step, and then have the student attempt to work a similiar one when they feel like they understand the problems. I try to be as helpful as possible while still focusing on the goal of total understanding for the student, as well as the ability to work a similiar problem independently with confidence. For paper writing, I would have the student brainstorm some ideas, and then together we could discuss the pro's and con's of the topic and organization choice, and provide tips on how we could better the assignment. I am willing to give as much or as little help as a parent would prefer, as good grades are one goal but the students mastery of the material is the most important.
