I use a variety of methods such as graphically (visual), practice examples (tactile, repetition), repeating the rules/methods (aural) and occasional humor to help things stick! I recently moved here from California. I have tutored fellow students in high school in Rhode Island, a child, grandchildren, and also tutored folks in California ranging in age from 13-30 in all types of math during the last ten years. Though I do not have a certificate, I plan on getting a temporary certificate in the next few months.

I am a freshman at Missouri southern. Math is my favorite course hands down. Its not very difficult for me. I would prefer to tutor elementary and junior high students, but will also work with highschool kids too. I am majoring in physical education so this really could help me out in my field. I have worked many jobs and I want to dip my feet into to tutoring to see what it is like to help teach people about Computer Technology. I have been in management, computer IT, radio, roofing, janitor, and even fast food. I like to work in big groups and I feel like I have a good speaking voice along with a good attitude to my students. If a student has a problem I will guide them to help and let them understand what they are doing wrong. I am hands on teaching and want the students to understand what each part feels like on a computer.

I have taught 15 years in the Missouri public school system. I have taught fine arts, K-12, throughout my career. I have organized and taught an at-risk study hall, provided after school tutoring for 6th graders. I taught 6th grade mathmatics. and tutored reading after school. Teaching riding and horsemanship is what sparked my desire to teach.
