This is what seems to be working for my student who is currently taking a class at the University of Dayton. She is an adult learner and her goal is to just understand how to use Adobe Creative Suite software in her work as an artist. She goes to her class. She works on the assignments as best as she can and reviews the notes she took in class. She makes a list of anything she doesn't understand or needs more information about. We meet for our tutoring session and I answer her questions and show her how to complete her assignments if necessary. I am a creative, approachable, goal-oriented teacher. A Little Bit About Me...

I love children and I love teaching children. I teach using a variety of methods. I have learned that children have different ways of learning. Some children are visual learners so I used plenty of visual aids when teaching these children. Some children are kinetic learners so I made sure that I used manipulatives when teaching these children. I believe that all children have a "best way" to learn. I determine what that way is, and then I taylor the way I teach to that way. I love seeing a child light up when they "get it". I love learning and I want to pass that love on to others.

I then begin focusing on the area where the student is having difficulties. It may be that the student requires help with homework as well as review of fundamentals.
