I'm an undergraduate at the university of Louisville. I major in biology with a minor in spanish . I was on the spanish team in high school, and also received a biology scholarship to the university. I tutor my sister she is in the 7th grade, I help her with math and science. My other sister comes to me when she needs help in math , when there are problems she doesn't understand. My comments on tutoring Pre-Calculus : I am a certified high school teacher in Kentucky currently working on my PhD in instruction and administration with emphases in mathematics education and assessment. I have 16 years of high school teaching experience and taught Pre-Calc several times over those years. I also served as math department chair, a mentor teacher, and primary curriculum writer. Great Question. I have been in classes where I found learning a challenge. This is what makes me unique as a teacher. I build a relationship with the student. I do my best to not only explain the material, but how they can possibly use it in the future. I also have the best patience. I will go over something over and over again, searching in my own mind for a different to present the material so it sticks.
I have always been a good teacher. I scored very well on the SAT exams, and I have extensive tutoring experience. I scored in the upper 10 percentile on the Mathmatics portion of the SATs. I also have been studying non stop for the CPA exam. I would love to pass on knowledge to someone else. Tutoring is rewarding.
