My comments on tutoring Pre-Calculus : I am a certified high school teacher in Kentucky currently working on my PhD in instruction and administration with emphases in mathematics education and assessment. I have 16 years of high school teaching experience and taught Pre-Calc several times over those years. I also served as math department chair, a mentor teacher, and primary curriculum writer. I'm an undergraduate at the university of Louisville. I major in biology with a minor in spanish . I was on the spanish team in high school, and also received a biology scholarship to the university. I tutor my sister she is in the 7th grade, I help her with math and science. My other sister comes to me when she needs help in math , when there are problems she doesn't understand. I have an engineering background with a BS and Masters degree in Electrical Engineering. An engineering degree requires a significant background in math and science. While in college I had such a love for math that I took math classes as electives and became a math tutor for college math. My most recent experience is that of an Instructor in math and science.
I convey to each student a never give up attitude and show confidence in their ability to understand the material.
