I have been tutoring since I was in high school. Between that and teaching Sunday School and Children's Church, I have more than ten years of experience. A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was a child. I believe that all children can learn. I teach using a lot of hands-on experiments as well as a lot of peer tutoring. After our Math lesson, my students work on an Independent Practice and once they get it checked, they are allowed to help others. I believe all children can learn. I have learned that even though I am the teacher, there are several other teachers in the classroom. I love learning math and science and I enjoy sharing the same love of learning with my students. I like seeing the look on their face when they really get it! Students requiring tutoring are sometimes in academic distress and have anxiety therefore I have a more easy going and patient style of tutoring than most. I believe I'm an effective tutor because I remember the exact same difficulties and questions I had as a student and can relate to their frustration.
