Over the past few years, I have worked with students who have come from a wide range of age groups and mathematical skill levels. I believe this has helped me develop an ability to sense where a student is in his or her understanding of math, which, in turn, allows me to communicate on a level that he or she will be able to comprehend. One goal I have is to teach in a way that is neither too challenging nor too boring for the individual student. A Little Bit About Me...

I love to learn, and love passing that on to others. I am a patient personality, and I may present a problem to a student to evaluate where they are. From there, we can go either backwards or to more advanced work. Education is very important for myself and for my children, and I like to instill that learning takes you further in life than where someone may have not even dreamed. I am amazed at seeing cashiers who can't make simple change, or someone who can't calculate a small percentage in their head, such as 10% of a number. I want children to learn and have a feel-good attitude with their accomplishments.

I recognize that each student learns differently. It is important to me to assses the style that is best for the student. I will always differentiate the way I teach to the benefit of the pupil. If a student needs more visual aid and description, that is how I will teach them. If a different student needs manipulatives or prefers auditory lessons, I will provide that for them. The way I teach my students is the way that they learn best. If they do not learn in the way of their appropiate learning style it will not be as effective

A Little Bit About Me...

While attending high school at South panola, I tutored every subject at the school and at the boys and girls club for four years. I have earned a BS in Chemistry with a minor in Math. During my tenured at the ole miss I tutored at oxford and other local schools through a program called Family literacy, which is a progam to help educate kids of all ages. So, I have tutored kids for the past 8-9 years.
Helping and teaching children of all ages is a very rewarding job. I love to help people learn. My teaching style various with each student. I believe that Math is a subject of concepts and if the concepts are clear than any body can do math. Making concepts clear depends on the teacher who analyze the understading of each individual and teaches him accordingly.
As a Math graduate, I wanted to remove hesitation and fear of students for this subject and I became a Math tutor. I have taught advance Math (Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus) at High Schools and also done tutoring for these subjects. During last 8 years many of my students improved their performance and now they have become Engineers. I have also tutored students in Physics.
