My comments on tutoring Drums: Enough knowledge for beginner students
Hello! My name is Evan Levine and I am currently pursuing a Masters degree in music performance at the University of Michigan. Originally from New Jersey, I have been teaching students between the ages of 6-18 for over 8 years in both private and group settings. I have taught a range of music styles, including; Rock, Jazz, Pop, Country and Classical music. I am also proficient in Music Theory and Music History and would be able to supplement that with instrument instruction. I believe that learning repertoire that the student is interested in is the fastest way to develop a passion for music. Positive encouragement is key, and I believe the teachers' job is to guide their students in what they want to do. Developing technical proficiency and understanding the emotions and intent of the music is the foundation of my teaching style.
