Flexible - it depends on the student's needs and preference. One size fits all teaching is poor teaching. My tutoring experience has mainly focused on SAT / ACT prep and ESL (TOEFL). I have also been a high school / middle school teacher in social studies / history / humanities for the past 4 years. I'm now working on my Masters at UH-Manoa. My own SAT score is a perfect 2400 (800 for Critical / 800 Math / 800 Writing , which I am happy to show you proof of), but even more important is the fact that I know how to teach the material to students at ALL levels (those trying to break 1500 to those trying to break 2200 for the SAT). I've tutored SAT for a very large international test prep company as well as on my own and I have students who have had remarkable success in improving their scores.

My teaching experience includes teaching Kindergarden and second grade in Guam, than I taught 4 years for the Department of Defense in Germany. I now live in Hawaii and have taught for the Department of Education Special Education, and English As A Second Language with Adult Eeducation. I have my own private tutoring students and teach them reading, writing, grammar, social studies, math etc. I also tutor for the home hospitalization program for the Department of Education. Special Education classes, working with the student's IEP, one on one tutoring working with multi-sensory learning, and focusing on the student's educational goals. I am currently finishing my first year in my graduate program, MEdT Program (Masters in Education Teaching). I have so far spent 12hrs a week in the classroom for the past year. I have taught several solo lessons a week while at Campbell High School and Ilima Intermediate. I am efficient in one-on-one teaching situations students who need extra attention and assistance. I have earned a BA from the State University of New York at Potsdam, majoring in history and writing. All throughout college I tutored various subjects which include history, writing, literature, earth science, and general biology. These experiences lead me to want to pursue my masters in education. I love teaching. In addition I have extensive skills in grammer and writing due to writing research papers and essays in various areas of study. I love teaching all ages.
