I am a 2012 graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Chemistry and concentration in Biochemistry. I have worked as a TA for the sophomore Principles of Biology (II) course as well as the Organic Chemistry Laboratory Course. I have been a tutor & academic mentor for Organic Chemistry since the summer of 2010. I have earned two BS degrees, one in Chemistry and one in Spanish as well as a Masters of Science in Forensic Science. In addition, I have learned extensive grammatical skills due to writing research papers and laboratory reports, along with essays in many areas. Since high school, I have tutored students in chemistry, Spanish, and mathematics. With my current job, I have gained excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex subjects on a level that an average person can understand.
I enjoy tutoring and mentoring students. It is very rewarding to be able to help a student understand concepts that at first may seem complex. A Little Bit About Me...

I always find myself trying to lead others to figure out material on their own as a I set guidelines for them as they do so. I believe this is the best way for them to learn the material. I do not like to tell my students the answers, inhibiting them from thinking things through. I try to find different ways of teaching material in order to keep them motivated, as well.
I am a recent graduate of kennesaw State University, with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. I believe that I am competent in various areas of biology and chemistry, and will be able to convey that competence. A Little Bit About Me...

I find that the best way to tutor my students is to find out what they are struggling with the most in a subject and then helping them with the basics in that subject. I work with the student on the basics and then build up to more difficult material. I am patient with students of all ages. I believe that knowing the basics of a subject is always important. In college, I always had to know the basics to build on that knowledge. It can take some time to start at the bottom, but it's worth having the permanent knowledge over learning it short term just to pass the test.
