I have tutored many in accounting at Ohio State and Franklin University. I try to make the student understand the underlying accounting principles that are involved in their problems. To train them in ways to cross check and verify their answers. I try to get the student to verbalize what they have learned. I firmly believe that if they can explain it logically to me,they understand.If not, more work is necessary. In addition, the ability to communicate is critical in the accounting field.
