Experience Summary
I worked my way through college, working full-time and attending classes whenever possible. I graduated from Ohio State with a degree in mathematics, majoring in the field of Actuarial Science. So, I know the value of accomplishment through perseverance and determination. As a full-time employee, I deal with statistical data and clientele daily. I have excellent communication skills both oral and written and use these skills extensively dealing with the public. I have a substitute teaching license from the State of Ohio using this to sub in the local school districts. I have also, for the last 10 years administered ACT/SAT testing at the local school system.
Teaching Style
As a father of three, I love to teach through example. As much as possible, I love to use practical illustrations to emphasize points and to give the child/student a better understanding of its application. I tend to learn best visually and through repetition and would incorporate that style into my teaching efforts. My goal in teaching would be patience, demanding but considerate, firm but fair.
