Students have described me as a very caring and kind educator. I take the time to explain how and why things are different in foreign languages. In the beginning of the year (or when I get a new student), I take the time out to give the student a quiz that helps determine what learning style they are based off of seven different learning styles. This helps the students learn not only about themselves in my class, but also in others as well. I also use this information to develop lesson plans around the needs of the students. I have a passion for teaching children as well as adults how to use music as a tool for expression. I encourage listening to music and interacting with it (playing by ear with music selected by the student and/or teacher) in order to understand its langauage.
