Spanish is one of my top subjects!

I have a PhD in Spanish and Portuguese from a well-known university in the U.S. I have about 20 years of experience teaching Spanish and Portuguese on the college level. This includes elementary and intermediate levels, conversation, composition, literature, culture, film and medical Spanish. I also enjoy tutoring younger students. I lived in Brazil and have traveled extensively all over Latin America, Spain and Portugal. I am a native speaker of English and would enjoy tutoring ESL again. I have taught GED and tutored in Math, English and Social Studies. I got very high scores on my math ACT.

I have taught ESL professionally in Mendoza Argentina for the Universdad Nacional de Cuyo, and in Buenos Aires, Argentina for a provate compnay (C&C Language Solutions). I am no stranger to a standard text book curriculum or large groups. That was very similar to my experience teaching at the University in Mendoza. Although i really enjoyed teaching for the private company because i had the chance to meet with the clients/students beforehand, discuss with them (in their mother tongue or in the target language) what they wanted to get out of the program. As a substitute teacher in the Bethalto school district, I feel I have been trained in all of the subjects necessary to tutor students.
