I have taught ESL professionally in Mendoza Argentina for the Universdad Nacional de Cuyo, and in Buenos Aires, Argentina for a provate compnay (C&C Language Solutions). I am no stranger to a standard text book curriculum or large groups. That was very similar to my experience teaching at the University in Mendoza. Although i really enjoyed teaching for the private company because i had the chance to meet with the clients/students beforehand, discuss with them (in their mother tongue or in the target language) what they wanted to get out of the program. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a recent graduate from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, with a BS in Business Administration - International Business and a focus in Chinese. Because this program is relatively new, a degree in International Business required multiple Finance courses, which allowed me to learn many advanced statistical and mathematical concepts. In these classes, I often assumed an informal tutor role and helped my fellow students understand difficult points. In addition, I trained new employees during my tenure as Lab Manager of a campus computer lab.

I have a very unique way of teaching. My key to success works on a system of discipline and rewards. I find creative ways to make the most mundane tasks fun to accomplish. I think the number on rule in teaching strategy should be finding a way to make the process enjoyable. I believe most kids that do poorly in school have an incredibly hard time putting their hearts into tutoring.
