Due to my experience with a broad range of young learners, each working at a different academic and or cognitive pace, I follow a modified Socratic approach to both my classroom and one on one instruction by placing the emphasis on the student as we identify areas for growth. I then sculpt an academic program that we both/all have helped to design, thus accessing an invaluable font of enthusiasm and insight addressing how best to approach the needs of each individual student. A Little Bit About Me...

I truly enjoy all aspects of education and have been a teacher at a number of levels and in different cities for eight years. I have taught students in K-12 as well as in college/university. My teaching and tutoring experience has been both one-on-one and small group settings. I have a B.S. in Political Science and History as well as multiple Masters degrees and a Ph.D. in ancient languages, literature, and history. In the last few years, I have tutored in three states (TX, KY, and FL), and two countries (USA and UK).

I love educating all children in order to achieve their long term life goals. I am patient, friendly and easy to get along with. I can make learning enjoyable and more easy. I will make sure my student understands the material very well in way that he/she is able to teach another student or even me.
I have earned a bachelors degree in Chemistry from East Tennessee State University. I have more than 100 hours of volunteer experience in all fields of area due to being in organizations like Alpha Phi Omega, Phi Sigma Pi and President's Pride throughout my college career. I believe I'm qualified to teach computers because I use it everyday and know basically most of all the Microsoft Office. English/LA and Social Studies probably not as qualified but I know the basics, if I did not I would not have a Bachelor's degree right now.

A Little Bit About Me...

As primarily a middle grades teacher, I have 33 years of classroom experience and 25 years of private tutoring. My basic focus has been 6th grade math and the education of ESOL students. I hold 2 degrees in elementary eduction and an ED. Specialist in Administration/Supervision. The classroom has always been preferred, even though I hold a degree in Adminstration.
