However, I made it a point to minor in Chemistry and Linguistics and to certify in American Sign Language. I have always had the desire to achieve the highest goals I could set for myself. As a high school German exchange student and subsequent German major, I have more than textbook knowledge of the German language. My fluency comes from real-world interactions as well as attending a German high school. I taught courses at the University of Richmond for students of German wishing to practice their language skills, yet whose competency may not have been to the standard for a traditional literature class. Furthermore, I received an International Baccalaureate Diploma with high marks for my high school subjects (concentrations in Music History and Theory, German Language, English Literature, and European History).
