A Little Bit About Me...

I am taking a class in my Master's program in which I have learned six different educational methods to use with students. Each method is different, and I have been able to learn and work through each of them. I am confident in my ability to concentrate learning through cooperative groups, presentations, direct instructions, problem based and discovery topics, concept lessons, and disscusions. I have also been taught in each lesson how to edit the lesson for English Language Learners, gifted students, and students who need more support. I believe that each child learns in their own unique way. As a high school German exchange student and subsequent German major, I have more than textbook knowledge of the German language. My fluency comes from real-world interactions as well as attending a German high school. I taught courses at the University of Richmond for students of German wishing to practice their language skills, yet whose competency may not have been to the standard for a traditional literature class. Furthermore, I received an International Baccalaureate Diploma with high marks for my high school subjects (concentrations in Music History and Theory, German Language, English Literature, and European History).
