I started teaching right after my college graduation from Philippine Normal University. I taught ESL (English as A Second Language in public schools from 1968 - 1985. From 1985 - 1991 I taught at the United States Refugee Program. On October 1991 I was sent by the US Refugee Program to University of Omaha, Nebraska as a guest lecturer on ESL. Presently, I am a part time adjunct instructor. As a superintendent and principal, I have observed 100’s of classrooms, and being around the best of teachers, I have a pretty good foundation of what good teaching is about. Rasmussen managers and students have also given me wonderful evaluations. It is so important that students are listened to, and it is also vital that classes are dynamic and interesting. Most years of my career was spent in elementary teaching, and in many of those years I served as a tutor. I was also a tutor at Rasmussen College.
