I graduated with a B.S. in Elementary Education with a concentration in Mathematics. I spent a year as a Substitute Teacher in Lincoln, NE. I then took a year and a half break from teaching to recruit for a small college. I went back into teaching as a grade 7-12 mathematics teacher. I was responsible for the 7th grade through pre-calculus courses at Wheatland Public Schools in Madrid Nebraska. This school was then combined into Grant Public Schools. I am also a strong technical trainer in my current role and provide necessary computer and analytical training to all new associates at the current company I work for.

A Little Bit About Me...

As an undergraduate, I used to be frustrated with the idea that a teacher "knows his stuff but can't teach well". For me,the true proof of knowledge is to be able to communicate it, especially to those who have a different background. This personal philosophy drove me into a state of personal inquiry that is perhaps different from other teachers or students approach- studying with a view to explaining the concept to someone of limited knowledge in the area of discipline
Start with what the student knows and gradually into the new and unknown material. This way the student is guided seamlessly into the unknown using what he knows as a "bait". I graduated with a Biopsychology degree or otherwise known as Behavioral Neuroscience. This degree enabled me to study organic and inorganic chemistry, biology (immunology, biochemistry etc.), math (statistics, calculus) and 1 year of physics. My favorite class, however, was a psychology class called learning and behavior. That class has honed my teaching skills and I enjoyed using those skills while tutoring adolescents in a wide variety of subjects, high school teenagers prep for the ACT exam, working as a teaching assistant for organic chemistry and tutoring an autistic child.
My teaching style varies with skill level. Some children need reinforcement schedules while others just need help puting their foot in the right direction. A Little Bit About Me...

After taking one and a half years of guitar training, I believe that I can offer my students with the materials they need to play their favorite songs with the chords and strumming, as well as learning and coming up with new solos based on the theories that I teach them.
I first teach my student what the strings are in standard tuning, letting them know what they're playing on. And then I'll teach them the basic chords. The next step of the teach program is to teach them notes as well as other chords. After they get the chords and the notes progression, I'll teach them the scales and solos.
