I like to allow the student to read the material once and clarity any areas that need more explanation. Then I will allow them to answer questions from the material read and help them where needed to choose the correct answer and understand the reason for the answers. 15 years experience in a broad variety of subjects!

I have a way of perceiving the difficulty the student has, and am able to explain the material in a simple way that makes it easy for students to grasp. With my high school students, I will introduce a new lesson or concept, model how to comprehend it, work with them on a few examples, and then allow them independent practice to work alone.
