I first and foremost believe that every child can learn, and I refuse to entertain any idea that says otherwise. I have found that a constructivist approach works best for most children, and I will always try this approach first. I try to make learning as hands on and relevant to the real world as possible.
I graduated from one of the top teaching schools in the nation (according to NCATE), and have a degree in elementary and special education. I specialized in math education, but am also qualified to teach English, science, and social studies. I have worked with children as young as 2 years old and as old as 15 in a formal setting. I have helped children go from hating a subject to being successful and loving it.

My style focuses on the processes in arriving at a solution. The learning goal in mathematics is to impart understanding of the process of working toward a solution, not attaining the solution. In mathematics as many other endeavors, it is how we proceed to a goal that is important, not the goal itself. Since undergraduate work, I have worked in the business world, primarily in the manufacturing arena. My academic experiences have continued on some level. As a Math graduate, I wanted to remove hesitation and fear of students for this subject and I became a Math tutor. I have taught advance Math (Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus) at High Schools and also done tutoring for these subjects. During last 8 years many of my students improved their performance and now they have become Engineers. I have also tutored students in Physics.
