Painting is one of my top subjects! I have previously painted custom murals for various clients. My paint preference is acrylic. I've learned some fun brush techniques over the years as well as faux finishes. I can put together a great curriculum that will suit anyones needs.

Each lesson is based on what the client needs.
I have worked with kids ages 3-15, developing curriculum for various types of art. I'm open to working one-on-one or in a group setting. We can set up a schedule that works for you - weekly or bi-weekly. Each student is different, therefore the curriculum will be different. I can work with the very basic student just starting out to the experienced.

I homeschooled a gifted third grader, including administering standardized end-of-grade test, for 1 year. I have tutored homeschooled first and third graders in math, reading, writing, social studies, and art for the last 6 months. I tutored a 8-12-year-old with autism spectrum for 4 years. More About This Tutor...

I am a calm, patient, and easy-going person who loves learning and loves helping others to learn. I enjoy adapting to different learning styles, and want to help each student to the greatest extent I am able to. I try to strike the correct balance between allowing students to work problems out themselves and giving them guidance. The subject areas I focus in are generally considered difficult, but I believe that with guidance, and perhaps a more constructive mindset, the problems can become enjoyable and achievable puzzles.

I also know other Arab dialects, such as Iraqi, Egyptian, and Levantine Arabic (the region near Palestine, Jordan, and Syria) we can discuss your goals and needs. Students all have different goals. A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that all children can learn and all children are capable of learning. But, all students learn differently, so, I feel that by changing lessons and incorporating different things into each one to accomodate most, or all, students is necessary. When children are able to learn and gain experiences on their own, with little or no teacher intervention, they learn at their best. By doing fun activities, children are able to gain and retain knowledge better. I want to be able to help children as much as I can, while still letting them learn on their own by making new discoveries.
As a graduate with a BS degree in Elementary Education, I have gained knowledge in the practice of teaching elementary school. I have been able to observe classrooms as well as student teach. I was able to put my knowledge to use while I student taught by planning all lessons, implementing fun and relev ... read more

I have always loved learning and have earned several degrees in Psychology (BA), Art (AA), Spanish (Minor) and Psychometry (Tests and Measurement) (EdS) and continue to educate myself (School Psychology, PhD candidate), all of which have centered around learning and instruction. In addition, having worked in the schools for over 6 years has allowed me to learn the process by which many teachers instruct and I have developed a repertoire of helpful strategies and interventions that are based in scientific research. As part of my job in the public schools I have an extensive knowledge of tests and evaluations as well as experience working with students with unique learning styles.

I earned a degree in Biology, which has fully equipped me for tutoring to children who have difficulties in any subject, but especially science. By being a Biology major I was exposed to all types of seminars, scientific research, labs and other various types of learning implements that have been beneficial in my teaching practices. In the past two years I have privately tutored two children from the ages of 5 and 7. I have tutored them in every subject from reading, and math to science projects. I have also worked at a preschool Kehillah Jewish Preschool with 4 and 5 year olds preparing them for kindergarten, which included phonics, reading, writing, number and letter recognition, pre-math skills such as measuring and sorting.

The foundations of my teaching philosophy are: 1. My primary goal is to teach students how to learn. 2. Teaching must be matched to the student's learning style, not learning matched to the teacher's teaching style. Therefore, teaching style, curriculum, and approach must be flexible, varied, and individual. 3. Empowerment is the key to motivation. Motivation is not something the teacher does to a student; it is something the student does to himself. The teacher's part is to introduce possibilities.

I love working with all children. I enjoy changing my style to fit the specific need of the child and helping them in the way they learn the best. I want to be able to help them learn to become independent problem solvers. I want to help them become an asset to the team even when they are in the classroom and I am not there to coach them through that problem they can use what they have learned and be the best student in the class.

As a staff accountant for a large, global corporation (sales revenue approx. $250 million/yr) I have very much experience in all areas of finance and accounting. I specialize in journal entry writing and reconciliations. I reconcile both bank account statements and account balances with my master bank reconciliation having approximately $40 million debits and credits monthly.
I love teaching and showing people how easy accounting can be and how much it helps you in real life situations. Most students get overwhelmed easily with double entry accrual accounting. I find it best to relate the material directly to the students personal life purchase and income habits. This way they can have a hands on approach and hopefully find the rules easy and helpful in daily financial situations.

A Little Bit About Me...

First of all, I love teaching and working with all kids. Secondly, I have a very interactive style to tutoring and have a creative mind that helps find the easiest ways for students to learn/remember/memorize difficult concepts or vocabulary. I'm very motivating and enthusiastic, which I believe converts well into good and clear explanations and understanding. I'm also very patient so I'm willing to spending as much time as needed to help kids grasp the material. I really hope I can make a difference in my students/friends' lives.
Currently I'm a senior at UNC of Chapel Hill majoring in Mathematical Decision Science. I haven't had any paid tutoring experience, but I tutored many of my peers in high school in math, history, and language arts. I am pretty good at working with them and helping them understand math and science concepts. My grades were consistently A's and B's. ... read more

I have a natural passion for educating youth of all ages and find joy in helping them succeed. No child is unreachable when it comes to connecting with them. The only true difficulty may be finding their learning style. Teaching is easy when you know your audience. Our country has put our youth in a state of desperation with regard to their level of education, desire to obtain higher levels of education, and the ability to compete internationally. I want to be a part of the solution in reaching our youth and reassuring them that they can still be and achieve anything they seek.
Education is the central focus of my everyday life. A Little Bit About Me...

Teaching to me is about relating the information to the students in a way they can understand. It is very important to make the material relevant to their lives somehow. Therefore it is important to get to know your students and their hobbies and interests. Another key thing needed to teach is patience. You cannot expect them to race through anything. Everyone has their own pace. It is also important to make the information interesting and entertaining to some extent, Especially for younger students. Sometimes an educational game is just as good at getting the information across but at the same time engages the students and keeps them interested.
I have been tutoring since I was 13 years old. Parents of my peers always approached me to teach their son or daughter. After I completed high school with a 4.0 GPA I was hired at a professional tutoring school. There I worked fo ... read more
