I homeschooled my children through high school. I taught them through pre-calculus. I have taught group homeschool math classes for all levels and tutored individuals. I taught developmental math at a community college in Texas for three years. I tutor college level math also. I love all levels of math and all ages of students.

I received my Bachelors of Arts degree from Willamette University, where I majored in politics and minored in economics. I chose to work for a Bachelor's of Arts degree because it stresses a strong understanding of all subjects - this is the core of my approach to learning and education. During my senior year of high school I tutored math and science at a middle school for one year, and prior to this spent several years babysitting and assisting elementary school-aged children with their studies. A Little Bit About Me...

Having graduated from a liberal arts university, I know that being well-rounded is very important in life. I graduated from Whitworth with a BS in Math and minors in Spanish and Computer Science, so I know what it is like to learn complex subjects. I have tutored my peers along with students younger and older than myself, as a mathematician and a Spanish speaker. I led a Spanish Live Lab for two years and informally tutored math for four. Also, I have a great deal of grammatical knowledge from writing research papers in math and computer science and Spanish.

I have 2 college age children and 2 elementary age twins. My college age children have both taken math through calculus so I have had many opportunities to tutor them over the years in advanced math.
