Not only have I tutored my nieces and nephews throughout their K-12 and even into college, I have a background in copy editing, I have been in a few minor publications, I am a competent mathematician, and I have a deep fascination and interest in science. My education is in psychology, philosophy, and English Writing, and I have a broad understanding of social/political theories, biology, math and algebra, and earth science. While earning my MA in English at California State University, Fresno, I spent two exciting years teaching beginning college writing. I chose to teach the class for students who did not pass the entrance exam for Fresno State because I enjoyed working with the diverse, and primarily ESL, students who populated these classes. I also spent three years tutoring many terrific students there in reading and essay writing.
