My comments on tutoring Geography : Based first and foremost on my studies of geography in academia, I have also become an expert in geography both in modern times and in the geography and national border-lines of the past due to my extensive and long travels through America, Central, Latin & South America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, learning the histories of each region as I passed through. A Little Bit About Me...

I graduate from UNLV with a degree in Biology-Ecology. I took classes up to Calculus II, Biochemistry II, Organic Chemistry II, Microbiology and Physics II for example. I have been teaching Spanish at elementary schools for the past 6 years. Classes are an hour, before and after school. There are usually between 15-30 students in each class. I have also tutored at Landero Learning Center for 3 years. I tutor elementary and middle school students in Science, Math, Social Studies and Spanish. My experience dates back to when I was in high school in the early 80's tutoring students and family members. My teaching style is one of non-confrontational teaching. I have had professors who did that, and it only serves to put the student on edge and not lend itself to learning. I prefer to find out what the pupil is having trouble with and then see if I can find an interest in the concept for the student to make it relevant and help him retain the concepts involved.
