While working in a very prestigious school in Quito, I was granted a scholarship as an exchange teacher in the United States with the AFS visiting teacher program, and it was the best experience in my life. My job was to teach Spanish to High School students and visit other school to talk about my country and culture. After my return from the United States, I decided to go abroad again to study. I went to Italy and became a simultaneous translator in English, Spanish and Italian. While studying, I was given a job as an English teacher. When I came back from Italy, I decided to become a University Professor in various Universities in Ecuador for 10 consecutive years. I have always loved children. Children are precious and all have very unique learning techniques. When I was a senior at Maryville High School, I taught Spanish to first graders. My partner and I were in charge of making lesson plans and fulfilling these plans for each class. I really enjoyed seeing the children get excited about learning.
I enjoy seeing children learn new things. I know that every child learns differently. It is important to get to know the children that you are teaching and figure out what teaching technique fits there needs. I feel like I do an excellent job of portraying what I am trying to teach.

A Little Bit About Me...

After graduating from the University of Miami, I taught Kindergarten, a 3rd/4th grade combination, 6th grade, and computers/technology. After having children, I transitioned to tutoring students, some with special needs including, dyslexia, auditory processing, traumatic brain injury, ADHD, and others. For the last 4 years, I have been a Reading Resource teacher, working with students in phonemic awareness, fluency, and comprehension. In my current job, I work with students in Kindergarten through the fourth grade. My students enjoy their time with me and have all improved their skills significantly.
