I have been tutoring since I was in high school. Between that and teaching Sunday School and Children's Church, I have more than ten years of experience. I have tutored children whose ages range from elementary school to high school. I have also tutored adults to help with college classes and help prepare for GED tests. I teach the Bible to children whose ages range from newborn to eight years.
This depends on the student and his or her individual needs. I like to find creative ways to make learning more fun for the individual so that he or she will feel more motivated to learn.

A Little Bit About Me...

My tutoring experiences have been all throughout my life helping friends and family better understand mathematics. I've tutored for pay just once, one night a week for one year. This was while I was a student at Hampden-Sydney College; I worked through the College tutoring Calculus. Recently (in the past month), I've been helping a niece who is in the fourth grade and a friend who is a freshman in high school.
I'm passionate about what I do because I've been through classes in subject matter that I struggled in or was disinterested in and I want to be able to help others feel more comfortable in math where they might be weak or unsure. I also realize that sometimes the issue is motivational not a matter of comprehension. Having also dealt with feeling a lack of motivation I desire to light a spark in those who I help to reach for their best.

A Little Bit About Me...

While at Hampton University, I obtained a Bachelors of Science degree in Chemistry and maintained a 3.96 GPA. I have taken math courses in pre-calculus I&II, calculus I,II,&III, and Statistics. I have tutored and taught students enrolled in the Upward Bound Program in Bladen County and at Hampton University. I also tutored underclassmen in chemistry and math during my tenure at Hampton University. I am very open and ask for a lot of participation on behalf of the student. I feel that if they get involved and ask lots of questions that they will learn better. I love helping children and try and find creative ways to help them learn and remember their work at hand.
I have completed both an MBA and bachelors degree in business and during that education I studied a wide array subjects. Marketing, Finance, accounting, HR, and economics.
