From 1997 to 2008 I was a school technologist in Maine public schools. I organized extracurricular programs, worked with individual students and small groups, and co-taught math and science classes. My teaching centered on math, computers, physics, and general science. Some of my extracurricular activities included a robotics club; summer computer programming classes for early elementary students; and field expeditions to study insects. My experience is principally in marine research. In such, I have taught at three universities. Most recently I have been giving scheduled seminars for several years. I am semi-retired. My science background is mult-disciplinary. I enjoy most teaching ecology (both marine and terrestrial), geology, biology, physics, and chemistry. I have worked in this field on the west coast for twenty years, and about fifteen on the east coast. My principal fields of work have been geo-physics, and population ecology. Most of my recent work has been in Chesapeake Bay.
