A Little Bit About Me...

I am energetic and involved. I am a strong believer in the use of visual and other aids. I feel the best teaching can occur when it is interactive. I am highly computer literate, and regularly interject this medium.
My experience is principally in marine research. In such, I have taught at three universities. Most recently I have been giving scheduled seminars for several years. I am semi-retired. My science background is mult-disciplinary. I enjoy most teaching ecology (both marine and terrestrial), geology, biology, physics, and chemistry. I always enjoyed teaching mathematics topics such as Calculus to students. That subject in particular is needed for many applied fields in which several (engineering, physics, actuarial science) I have both working and educational experience in. I tutored for three years in various mathematics subjects at Penn State.
I enjoy teaching adults and young adults who may be in high school or college.
