I have earned two bachelor degrees, BS in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business and BA in Spanish. I have 10 years of professional experience involving customer service, Spanish translation, tutoring, and training. As an ex-patriate, I was afforded the opportunity to learn Spanish fluently and have witnessed first hand its importance in business and life today. I also have elementary age children that I assist in the everyday learning processes.
My favorite part about teaching is the moment that something "clicks" within a child's mind. I am a problem solver naturally so I try to lead children down a path of discovery instead of just teaching the answer. As a North Carolina Teaching Fellow, I tutored elementary through high school students in reading and math as I went through college. I have been teaching 7th grade math and science for the past eight years. Each individual learns in different ways, some are tactile learners, some are visual, and some are auditory learners.
