I know firsthand that great teachers make great students. It took several years to discover my learning style because I had to find it on my own. I want to be able to help students find their own learning style. I believe that subjects are best learned when broken down, and repetition is key. I also believe practice makes perfect. I know that a student needs to know the basics first, then can move on to more complex ideas.
In earning my bachelors of science degree at the University of South Carolina Aiken, I gained a true love for biology. Graduating with a Biology degree and knowing the difficulty in the subject matter I would like the opportunity to help others and demonstrate study methods that really work. I currently work in a Clinical Research setting understanding Biological and Allied Health terminology helps me succeed in my career. I would love to help other students enjoy and UNDERSTAND this subject matter. Biology is not just memorization, you need to completely understand the subject to fully be able to apply your knowledge on an exam or paper.
