My comments on tutoring American History : Exploring all areas of American History, linking literature and drama to help students understand the concepts and events.

I recently obtained my Bachelor's Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, where I graduated in the top of my class with a 4.0. While there, I often tutored people in writing and research, as well as serving as a Teaching Assistant for various classes including: Theatre History, Voice for the Actor, and Shakespeare. In addition to my degree in Theatrical Performance, I received a minor in English Literature. Since I've been home, I've been helping some of the younger members of my family with their writing and study skills, and their grades have greatly improved since we've started working together. I am a very "energetic' and thought provoking teacher!!!!

I am a facilitator of many styles of teaching, I use visual aids, kinesthetics, tactile, musical, etc. when teaching.
Thirty-three hours toward a Master's Degree in Urban Education, Four-year degree in General Studies with the majority of classes in Math and Education. I have taught Spanish and ESL at the collegiate, upper/high, and middle school levels. I earned my B.A. in Spanish with a history minor from Baylor University in 3.5 years and graduated Magna cum Laude. I earned my M.A. in Spanish at Baylor University in May of 2010. I have tutored extensively both during and after my studies. I look forward to working with you.
I believe that anyone can learn. I approach history as a story (albeit a very detailed one) and languages as a skill set. I don't do rote memorization, but instead emphasize the patterns, causes, and effects of concepts. If you can begin to understand the why and the patterns behind concepts, the material becomes more meaningful and a lot of the need for rote memorization is removed.
