I think teaching style should depend on the student. Some people move at different paces or learn better from listening or from doing the work themselves with supervision and help. I am flexible with any style and once I become familiar with a person it becomes easier to see how they learn best. I have been attending Northern Illinois University for the past 3 years and so far have had a great experience. I am double majoring in Spanish and geography and have had good success in both subject areas with a cumulative GPA of 3.95. They are both interests of mine and I have definitely improved during my time at NIU. I think I am qualified to share what I've learned with others who need help in either area and really enjoy working with people.

I'm a student at Augustana College whose academic record has ranged from public school to home schooling to community college and and even private education. I've worked as a tutor for over 2 years at Black Hawk College, at the same time obtaining an Associates Degree. Throughout those years I've encountered many special needs students and many bright students, tutoring in subjects ranging from English, Math, Social Studies, to Computer Science. I believe the best way to learn is peer-to-peer learning. As an auto-didact I have the study skills necessary to regurgitate information as taught by the current institutional models.
