Experience Summary
Since receiving my bachelor’s degree in 2007, I have been involved in teaching students of all ages and backgrounds. I hold a certificate for teaching ESL (English as a Second Language) and am currently teaching in the Adult Education Program of our local community college. I also have done English tutoring for college students who wish to improve their English skills. I also tutor students in literacy and am working towards completing a certification in phonetic reading instruction.
Teaching Style
I believe that proficient language knowledge and use is crucial to a person’s career development and every-day communication skills. I enjoy helping students see progress toward their individual goals while at the same time making learning an exciting challenge and experience. I believe one-on-one tutoring can be the most productive and effective way to learn subject matter in a timely manner.
