During the last semester of earning my BA in English, I was a tutor in the Reading and Writing Center at Eastern Kentucky University. When I was accepted to Florida State University to work on my Master's, I was also awarded a teaching assistantship. I have taught ENC 1102 and 1102 (freshman composition and research writing courses), and I developed and instructed an ENC 1142 Frehman Imaginative Writing course. A Little Bit About Me...

Upon graduating with a BA in International Affairs and Spanish in the Spring of 2003, I traveled to India to work in an orphanage and school for orphaned and underpriviledged children. For six months, I taught a wide range of subjects, including Reading, Writing, History, Social Sciences and Math in a small classroom setting (10-30 students). Last summer, I traveled to Guatemala and Mexico to work in an orphanage for abused children, to where I also returned for the past Christmas break.
