I gear my teaching style to the individual I am working with. In 14 years I have learned that even though a method may work for one student, it does not necessarily mean it will work for another. In the first few session I test a small variety of applicable teaching methods and adapt them as time goes on. I have been working with students in both one-on-one and group settings for going on 14 years. I began tutoring groups of children at an inner city after school program in Language Arts and Reading Comprehension. I went into further training at my high school and became a designated math tutor for those in Pre-Algebra, Algebra I and Geometry.
