All children were very well prepared for kindergarten. The older children, including High School and Middle School, I would walk around the room and aide them when they were confused. A Little Bit About Me...

I use a variety of teaching styles while instructing students. Alternating between styles helps to keep minds engaged and participation at a maximum. When covering content I use many examples that relate to real life, that way students can relate it to something they have experienced or seen. I also like performing small-scale experiments and labs. I will use power point presentations as well as the overhead for drawings, notes, and discussion. A Little Bit About Me...

Science is not the easiest of concepts to grasp so in order to enhance student learning I input a bit of humor into my lesson. I am very good at creating analogies to scientific processes and I have seen positive results from this. My goal is to create student understanding without the typical "memorize and recall" method which I feel is a burden on education and does not promote student learning.
