I just recently completed my first semester of teaching University 101 at the University of South Carolina. This course allowed me to find out how much I enjoy teaching. I like to be able to make a personal connection with the students and learn about their learning styles and much more. I feel like each person who is in a teaching capacity has the ability to motivate and help each child in the classroom. Having graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BS in Biology and a minor in Chemistry I have always been passionate about the sciences and getting others excited about them as well. I was awarded a number of grants to perform research projects while in college and from that became familiar with collecting information and having to be extremely detail-oriented.
