Experience Summary
Having graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BS in Biology and a minor in Chemistry I have always been passionate about the sciences and getting others excited about them as well. I was awarded a number of grants to perform research projects while in college and from that became familiar with collecting information and having to be extremely detail-oriented. I have developed skills in being an analytical thinker due to taking courses involving identifying microorganisms and disease research. I am a very organized as well as time oriented person. In the past I have tutored students in chemistry and biology and English.
Teaching Style
Teaching children is the greatest fulfillment of all. Children are the future and they require great educators and mentors. Every child learns in their own way and I am here to help your child achieve success in their academic studies. I am attentive, accommodating, flexible, and patient. Every child is a unique individual with unique needs and backgrounds which is why I believe that teaching through an active, social process like constructivism is a great way for children to learn. I will help your child get to their own understanding of the content at hand. I look forward to making a positive impact on all of my students and helping them succeed.
