A Little Bit About Me...

Teaching younger aged children is something that I have wanted to do my whole life. Now that I have taught for the past five years there is nothing more that I want to do. I feel any child can learn. They just each have a different way of going about the learning process. When I teach I try to find how my students learn and use that to my advantage. I take pride in knowing that when I teach I bring a positive, upbeat attitude into any subject I am presenting. I am really good with kids. What I excel at is relating info. I can tell when someone is struggling, and usually know how to rectify the situation. I really enjoyed when I was able to tutor in elementary. The kids that I worked with had real problems in Math. With all of the kids that I taught they learned quick, just not the way teachers taught. I had to come up with different methods to relate the subject to them.
In Elementary I tutored for about a year. I also worked at a youth camp for kids with add adhd drug issues and anger problems. I have my A.S. in business and am very good with Math. I have also helped my little siblings with homework.

I've gained experience with teaching in an array of ways. Firstly, I'm a recent graduate from BYU-Idaho in Piano Performance earning my Bachelor of Musical Arts. Throughout my training as a professional pianist I studied piano pedagogy and now have a functioning piano studio of my own.
